Family fun and a yummy breakfast: Santa's Breakfast is Saturday, Dec. 4

By HMS Website Student Reporter Jacob Ewers

Santa’s Breakfast, sponsored by Henkle Middle School's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), is right around the corner, so mark your calendars for December 4th! This year's Santa’s Breakfast will have live entertainment from the students of Henkle Middle School's music program. There will also be (You guessed it!) pancakes for breakfast! And it doesn’t stop there; if you come anywhere between 8 a.m. to 12 noon you and, more likely, your children may get a picture with Kris Kringle (Santa Claus). There will also be a book fair and a crafts bazaar. Breakfast costs $5 per person or $15 for a family of up to five, $3 for senior citizens and K-8 students, and $2 for pre-school children. It will be served 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. so come on over and meet the great Santa.

If you have enjoyed this event in the past and want to contribute, the Henkle PTO is looking for volunteers. Please contact volunteer coordinator Sheila Spring at the Henkle office at 493-1502. This event is also a PTO school fundraiser. This year PTO is planning on hosting an auction for high quality used artwork. If you could possibly donate any artwork, please drop it off at the office at Henkle; maybe your artwork could become someone’s Christmas present.

There will also be a PTO meeting on Monday, December 6.

One more note: Mrs. Petrick is searching for a regular volunteer for a 7th -8th grade class from 2:15 to 3:10; if you can do this, please call Ms. Spring in the office at 493-1502.
